Client: Dallas Burston Polo Club

Nestled in the picturesque Warwickshire Countryside, Dallas Burston Polo Club stands as an award-winning events venue, offering a choice of four stunning venues across its expansive 600-acre site.

This multifaceted establishment is known for hosting an array of polo and equestrian sporting events throughout the year. Additionally, the club prides itself on being the largest 5-star wedding venue in the Midlands and one of the most luxurious wedding venues in Warwickshire.

With a commitment to excellence and a desire for interiors that mirror the club's prestigious nature, Dallas Burston Polo Club selected Andy Thornton for this standout staircase project.

The project was not merely about crafting a staircase; it was about integrating engineering precision with architectural artistry, ensuring it aligned with the club's multifaceted offerings.

Key Features & Processes:

Handrail Manufacturing: The handrail, crafted from solid brass and mirror polished to a luxurious finish in our workshop, exudes the opulence befitting a luxurious wedding venue.

Staircase Engineering: The staircase, constructed from structurally calculated mild steel, isn't just about aesthetics. It was designed to withstand the heavy-duty demands of a busy venue and hub of equestrian activity.

Balustrade Details: The balustrade, manufactured in mild steel and powder coated for protection and style, was rigorously engineered to meet high structural standards. Its robustness of up to 1.5 kN/m assures safety in a venue that hosts a variety of events.

In-House Site Survey & Drafting: The in-house site survey and drafting work was crucial to aligning the staircase with the club's interiors, ensuring it complemented the grandeur of weddings and the excitement of equestrian events.

Off-Site Welding: All welding was meticulously carried out in-house, based on AutoCAD drawings. This precise approach guaranteed that all components fit together seamlessly during installation, enhancing both safety and aesthetics.

Holistic Project Approach: Our fabricators not only manufactured the balustrade but also managed its installation, ensuring full project knowledge - from inception-to-final-sign-off - was applied throughout for flawless execution.

Project Management: Every aspect of the project was managed in-house, promoting effective communication and quality control.

Timelines & Budget: The project was delivered on time and within budget, a reflection of the club's dedication to quality and efficiency.

Installation: Despite the intricate design, the installation was completed in just four days, highlighting the proficiency and expertise of our team.

Project Duration: The project, from conception to final execution, spanned nine weeks, a testimony to the careful planning and execution in creating a staircase that will encapsulate the club's grandeur and versatility for generations to come.
